How far ahead do we need to book?
A week is comfortable and a couple of days is usually fine. We've turned around a pickup shot the same day. Overnights and very big units need a little more notice.
Is there a minimum crew size?
No hard minimum. Small photo shoots often get a drop-off craft box instead of a staffed table; your quote will say which makes more sense.
Do you follow union meal rules?
Yes. First meal within six hours of call, second meal within six hours of the end of first meal, and we're ready early so the line never eats into the half hour. We take the meal call from your AD, not the clock.
Can you handle a company move?
Yes. We box first meal for a move, or leapfrog with a second setup at the next location. Put the move on the call sheet and we'll plan the van.
What do you need from us on location?
A spot near set for the table, one standard outlet (we bring our own power for exteriors) and somewhere to park a van for load-in. We bring tables, linens, canopy, chafers, coolers and trash.
How do you handle allergies?
Everything is labelled with allergens, prep is separated, and the ingredient sheet goes to your medic before call. Flag a severe allergy when you book and we'll set a dedicated table.
How does payment work?
You approve a written quote, we feed your crew, and we invoice the production.
Why "SnackDaddy"?
Every set has that one person with snacks in every pocket, a spare charger and opinions about hydration. We're that, for the whole crew. You may have known us as Dips On Set.
